What's On My 2021 Travel Wish List?

Well everywhere of course but to be more realistic here are the five countries I would like to visit in 2021 and why I want to go. I'll take you through what draws me to each destination, which takes you across four continents and hopefully inspires you to visit one of these countries as well. So if you're looking for your next travel fix read on!

1. Namibia

My goal is to visit every country in Africa, so my next location would have to be Namibia. Due to the fact I have a friend, who is willing to take me around and show me the amazing country that it is. We're planning to visit where the Atlantic meets the desert. As well as that on my list of visits are Deadvlei, where a forest of dead acacia trees stands. I dream of kayaking on the border of Namibia and South Africa and seeing Etosha National Park. With potentially a cheeky drive to Johannesburg, SA.

2. Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka has always been on my list and I'm ready to actually venture there. You're probably wondering why I'm so set on going there well here are a few places I'm anticipating seeing. I want to start off with a jeep safari around Yala National Park. Then take the train to scenic Hill Country and get the iconic photo posing out of the window whilst embarking on our journey. To explore the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and learn about the history of Galle & stilt fishing. I want to taste an egg hopper of a morning and see traditional dancing in the evening. My list is endless, and I'm ready to make it a reality.

3. Indonesia

I've been wanting to do a multi-destination tour of Bali for quite a while, but it's just not happened. Next year I'm speaking into existence that I will be there having the time of my life. I want to start in Ubud, then head to Canggu, Gili T, Seminyak and Munduk. I want to see as much as possible and getting out of Ubud is the best way to do that. I plan to do the Mount Batur sunrise hike, see a Kecak Dance, give surfing a try, explore the Tegalalang rice terraces, snorkel with turtles and of course feel an adrenaline rush on the Bali swing.

4. Iceland

Funnily enough I haven't been to many colder climate countries but Iceland has always been somewhere I've dreamed of visiting and it's always slipped out of my grasp. I'm determined to go there during the winter season (already bracing myself for how cold it will be) so that I can potentially see the northern lights. We've all got that same goal on our bucket lists I'm sure. I want to bathe in the hot springs, experience the black sand beaches, see The Great Geysirs and the cascading waterfalls. I also want to visit where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet.

5. Colombia

This country has always been a place on intrigue for me. I've been learning spanish and feel its very fitting to visit Colombia and improve on those skills. Whilst there, I want to learn to dance in Cali, the world capital of salsa (hopefully sort out my two left feet). To explore Cartagenas old town, and stay overnight on a hammock in Tayrona National Park after a day of hiking and swimming. I want to see the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira and go stargazing in Tatacoa. I can't forget visiting the vibrant town of Guatape.
